EALING maintained their maximum haul as they powered their way to a fifth successive five-pointer over combative Cornish Pirates in what boss Ben Ward described as “by a long way” their toughest test so far.
But, even though Trailfinders succeeded where Saracens had fallen short at the Mennaye on the opening day of the Championship season, Pirates joint-head coach Alan Paver is still backing the disgraced giants to regain their Premiership status.
