LEICESTER used their increasing scrum power to flatten resilient Newcastle in this hectic quarterfinal clash.
Newcastle, despite the scrum problems, remained competitive until the final five minutes when Leicester made their power up front tell by grabbing two late tries.
French referee Romain Poite continually penalised Newcastle at the scrum and the visitors finished with only 12 men in a chaotic finish.
Newcastle, who kept a hold on Tigers through tries out wide by George Wacokecoke and full-back Tom Penny, had to continually rejig.
