Ben Volavola likely to snub Newcastle Falcons

NEWCASTLE Falcons have offered a contract to Fijian international Ben Volavola but are facing a snub in favour of a more fashionable option in former club Racing 92.
The 30-year-old is currently playing for Perpignan the Pro D2 and is keen to stay in France, where he has played since joining Bordeaux in 2017.
Volavola, who plays either fly-half or fullback, spent two years with the Paris glamour boys before moving to Perpignan last year.
He played Super Rugby for his home state NSW Waratahs, then the Crusaders and Rebels before playing in France.
