LOUGHBOROUGH Lightning’s play-off ambitions were boosted with five rounds remaining of the Premier 15s, as they saved some in the tank for a strong second-half showing against Worcester.
In a hard-fought first half, Lightning couldn’t force their way through with ball in hand and so resorted to their lineout-maul to produce the goods on 19 minutes.
Hooker Lark Davies has been the direct beneficiary of Lightning’s set-piece as the top try-scorer in the tournament, and her impressive record continued as she notched her 14th of the season.
