London Irish hold off strong interest from Premiership rival to sign Tom Parton

LONDON IRISH have held off a challenge from Harlequins to keep former England U20 full-back Tom Parton at the club.
Parton, 23, scored a try for the Exiles in their recent clashes with Gloucester and Bristol Bears and also touched down against Pau in the Challenge Cup.
Oxford-born Parton has been eyed up by Harlequins but has decided to stay with the Exiles, where he has progressed through their academy system.
Meanwhile, ProD2 outfit Beziers are on the hunt in the English transfer market for a new scrum-half for next season and have asked about several English players.
