PRL delay decision on freezing relegation

BT Sport share reservations over ring-fencing, leading to PRL requesting a delay on crucial vote by RFU Council

THE final decision on whether to scrap relegation from the Premiership this season has been delayed.
The RFU council was due to decide on Friday whether to ring-fence the league for the 2020-21 campaign.
However Premiership clubs have requested more time ‘to conclude consultation with stakeholders’ with sources believing BT had made clear their unhappiness over meaningless matches late in the season.
