EDINBURGH scored ten points in the space of four minutes in the last quarter and then held on to win a hard-fought derby at Murrayfield.
Jaco van der Walt kicked a penalty on 64 minutes and Magnus Bradbury went over for a try soon after. A late Lewis Bean try threatened a comeback, but it was not enough.
Man-of-the-match Mark Bennett said: “The pack really stepped up to give us the platform and then we worked hard for the win.”
Both times started at a lively pace, but scoring chances were few and far between.
