WASPS will need to rein in the excitement of playing in the Premiership Final if they are to defy the odds and beat Exeter Chiefs says back rower Brad Shields.
Wasps finished the regular season just three points behind Saturday’s opponents, before going on to dismantle Bristol in the semi-final.
Everyone at the Ricoh Arena is buzzing but, to coin an old phrase from Sir Clive Woodward, Shields is aware they need to ‘have their hearts on fire but their heads in a fridge’ if they are to overturn their defeat to the Chiefs in 2017.
