NEWARK, with 500 players of all ages from minis to their 1st XV, have established a ‘buddy up’ club for all members and supporters to keep in touch over the coming weeks and to provide practical help for any friends of the club who suddenly find they need a helping hand.
In a scheme in which senior clubs such as Gloucester and Wasps have set a fine example, the first task for Newark will be for everybody at the club to undertake to ring at least one friend at the club on a daily basis to touch base.
