CLIVE Griffiths, director of rugby at Doncaster Knights, won’t see the club again, or his players, before he retires at the end of the season.
Griffiths, 65, boss at the Yorkshire club since 2012, is following Boris Johnson’s advice by staying at home in St Helens. After Friday’s RFU announcement to call an end to the 2019/20 season below the Premiership, Griffiths’ final Championship game was last Saturday’s 35-36 defeat to Coventry at Castle Park.
