IF anyone needed a register of just how badly the Premiership has been disrupted by the relegation of Saracens, they have only to look at the eighttry 60-10 beating they took from Wasps at the Ricoh on Friday night.
Lord Dyson made it clear in his ruling that he did not believe Saracens’ transgressions merited relegation, yet that view was overruled by a Premiership panel – and the damaging fall-out in terms of results which put a question mark against the competitive quality of the league is now becoming evident.
This is to take nothing away from an impressive Wasps performance...
