Emotions run high over death of ‘Ibou’

French rugby this week mourned 2013 Top 14 champion Ibrahim Diarra, who died on Wednesday at the age of 36. A minute’s applause rang out before kick off at every Top 14 and ProD2 ground this week in memory of the eversmiling former Castres Olympique, Montauban and Pau backrow, who had been taken to hospital in Paris in critical condition the previous Friday after a heart attack at his home.
