Saints lead the chase for Fearns

LYON No.8 Carl Fearns is potentially on his way back to the Premiership.
Fearns is not expected to extend his fruitful stay in the Top 14 and Northampton Saints are understood to be leading the chase for his signature.
Now 30, the 6ft 3ins, 19 st 4lbs No.8 is a powerful ball-carrying back rower who left Bath in 2015 at the time of Sam Burgess’ illfated stint at the club.
He made 73 appearances for Bath before heading across the Channel.
Fearns never won an England cap, but did play for the second-string Saxons and in a non-cap match against the Barbarians.
