Date switch gives Super Six appeal

THE top six Welsh Premiership clubs have been confirmed as the representatives for next season’s cross-border Super Six competition against Scottish sides.
Merthyr, Cardiff, Pontypridd, Ebbw Vale, Llandovery and Aberavon will face Ayr, Boroughmuir, Heriot’s, Melrose, Stirling County and Watsonians.
The first ever crossborder competition will take place in April and May 2020.
Dale McIntosh, head coach at Premiership champions Merthyr, last month told TRP how he was against the idea of playing in June, which originally was mooted for the tournament.
