AT a time when they had hoped to be preparing for the World Cup, Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding have been heading in different directions.
The Ulster duo’s contracts were declared null and void by the IRFU at the end of last season after both had been found not guilty of rape.
Jackson joined newly-promoted Perpignan and duly struggled to make much of an impact in a club so far out of their depth in the Top 14 that they won two matches all season. Next season he will try his luck at another newly-promoted club in another league, London Irish.
