CORNISH Pirates have signed Yorkshire Carnegie lock Cian Romaine on a two-year deal.
Having spent four years in the Connacht academy, Romaine represented Ireland U20s before furthering his rugby education in New Zealand.
He follows Carnegie’s Kiwi boss Chris Stirling to Pirates for next season. Stirling said: “Cian is a young utility lock/loose forward, who is very physical in the carry, clean and tackle and will be a positive addition to the Pirates squad. He fits the desired player profile and has an outstanding personal character and work ethic.”
