CARDIFF Blues were denied a spot in the PRO14 play-offs as Connacht sealed their passage with a contentious bonus-point win at the Sportsground.
Cardiff coach John Mulvihill felt his side were harshly done by with two of Connacht’s tries, while Jason Harries had a try chalked out after 61 minutes by the TMO, who felt he had put his hand on the deadball line before he touched down.
The win means Connacht will face Ulster in the quarter-finals, while Cardiff have to beat Ospreys next time out to reach the Champions Cup.
