BLUES’ hopes of a securing a Pro 14 play-off spot took a savage blow as the Munster pack dominated at Independent Park.
Blues, badly missing the injured Josh Navidi and Nick Williams, were bullied throughout by the relentless red tide.
Starved of possession, the Blues’ backs performed heroics to remain in contention until midway through the second half when the introduction of CJ Stander and Tadhg Beirne redoubled Munster’s efforts and killed off the visitors.
