Tough: Richard Cockerill
EDINBURGH Rugby head coach Richard Cockerill has a long history with the Heineken Champions Cup and he cannot wait to pit his wits against the best again starting in a couple of weeks time.
As a player, former England hooker Cockerill, now 47, was a replacement in 2001 and 2002 finals as Leicester Tigers won the event twice on the bounce.
And he was the coach of the Tigers as they lost finals in the showpiece event in 2007 and 2009.
Having been in the Challenge Cup in recent years, Edinburgh Rugby are back in the Champions Cup.
