A field of 24 rugby pros will head to Buckinghamshire Golf Club on July 28 for two days of Northern Hemisphere versus Southern Hemisphere in the Icons of Rugby tournament.
The line-up is already complete and features 13 Rugby World Cup winners, with players such as Zinzan Brooke, Christian Cullen and Bryan Habana set to turn out for the Southern Hemisphere side.
They will be hoping to avoid three-putting against the likes of current pros Johnny Sexton and Stuart Hogg and player-turned-pundits Keith Wood and Jeremy Guscott.
Tom Brookes, the founder of the Icons Series Concept, said: “There are lots of other special features for spectators to enjoy at the event that’s designed to be inclusive for both rugby and golf fans, with adults gaining entry for just £20 and anyone under the age of 18 for free each day.
“More than 70% of spectators at previous Icons Series events have been new to golf events and with the strong teams of rugby icons we anticipate another great turnout of golfing newcomers.”
The event will see every participating player bring their competitive edge to the matchplay, while also supporting and building awareness for their own chosen charity.
Icons of Rugby themselves have teamed up with the following charities: Special Effect, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, The Matt Hampson Foundation, Smile for Joel, I am Doddie and Molly Olly’s Wishes.
