RICHARD Cockerill blamed a poor first-half showing for the defeat at the hands of Ulster at Murrayfield on Friday.
Ulster scored three first half tries through Darren Cave, Charles Piutau and John Cooney and Iain Henderson added a bonus point effort in the dying minutes of the second-half.
Despite Duncan Weir’s 13-point haul, Edinburgh trailed 19-13 at the interval and never recovered.
