RHYS Patchell insists he’s ready to step up and fire the Scarlets into a first Champions Cup final.
The men from Llanelli have endured plenty of heartache at Europe’s semi-final stage in the past, losing to both Northampton and Leicester in 2000 and 2002 respectively to last-gasp kicks.
Long-range penalties from Paul Grayson and Tim Stimpson denied the west Walians a shot at European glory in those years, but Patchell says he can be the man to send Scarlets to the last two.
