England name Test side for second Test against Springboks

England head coach Eddie Jones has named his squad to play South Africa in the second Test in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
Back row Brad Shields makes his first start on the blindside in place of Chris Robshaw who drops out of the matchday 23 which lost 42-39 entirely.
Jones has been given the green light by the medical department to throw Joe Launchbury into the mix after he completed his rehabilitation for a calf problem. A turn of good fortune for the England coach who missed the grunt of the Wasps lock, according to TRP columnist Jeremy Guscott.
The team will again be captained by Owen Farrell as an unchanged backline seek to gel in defence.
Should the problems of the first Test resurface in Bloemfontein, Jones has opted for Danny Cipriani to be a momentum-changer coming off the replacements bench. That means Piers Francis will join Robshaw in watching on from the stands.
Looking to dispell the ownership of a five-game losing streak, Jones was upbeat about the work put in on the training field as England seek to square the series 1-1 and force a decider in Cape Town.
“We have come here to win the series against South Africa and the squad is ready to go out and beat them this weekend,” said Jones. “We have had a very good preparation this week and the intensity and executions in those sessions are going to put us in a good position for Saturday.”
