CRAIG Gilroy’s hat-trick got Jono Gibbes off to a glorious start as Ulster head coach.
Ulster ran in nine tries in a comprehensive victory over the winless Kings, although injuries to Charles Piutau, Sean Reidy and Rob Lyttle marred the evening.
Lyttle limped off with a hamstring injury after scoring his second try, while Piutau suffered a shoulder injury.
Gibbes said: “The scoreboard looks good but there was a hell of a lot of effort that went into getting that.”
