Authorities must clamp down on thugs ruining game

I WAS delighted to see Glasgow hooker George Turner cop a four-week ban for his ridiculous off the ball shoulder into the back of Louis Picamoles when playing Montpellier last week.
It remains deeply disturbing that the referee Matthew Carley and his assistant referees did not see the cowardly and unnecessary attack as an automatic red card.
The TMO stressed that in his opinion a yellow card was the minimum sanction and the incident looked worse and worse with every replay on the big screen. Not for the first time a French side were left wondering would they be treated with such leniency if...
