Crowd pleaser: Gallowgate end at St James ‘ Park
FOOTY-MAD Newcastle head coach Dave Walder is looking forward to returning to the scene of his finest sporting triumph – a match-winning penalty at the famous Gallowgate end – when Falcons play Northampton at St James ‘ Park in March.
The Falcons have decided to move the Premiership fixture to the 52,000-capacity stadium, which successfully hosted rugby during the 2015 World Cup, in a bid to showcase the team to a target audience of 20,000 plus.
