Former Northampton Saints wing has made the cross-Championship move from Bedford Blues to Ealing Trailfinders.
The U20 World Cup winner has been a part of a potent Blues attack this season, scoring six tries for a team which boast’s the Championship’s top try-scorer in wing Dean Adamson (15).
Making the step up from the league’s third-place team to likely runners-up Ealing Trailfinders, Packman said he couldn’t wait to get started in the set-up at Vallis Way.
“I’m very happy to joining up with Ealing Trailfinders,” 22-year-old Packman commented. “Speaking to the coaches they know exactly what they want to get out of next season so I want to be a part of it and really kick on.
“There’s some great talent already at the club and also joining next season so I can’t wait to get started here.”
Continuing with recruitment now Bristol have cemented their promotion to the Premiership, Ealing director of rugby Ben Ward was happy to welcome Packman to the club having also signed his Bedford team-mate George Edgson on Wednesday.
“Howard is a quality winger and has had a great year at Bedford. He has electric pace and especially on our pitch I’m sure he will be a real weapon for us in attack next year,” Ward said.
