WARREN Gatland’s decision to retain a battle-hardened core of seasoned campaigners from the victorious tour of Australia in 2013 is key to the British & Lions securing a series victory in New Zealand this July, according scrum-half Ben Youngs.
England pivot Youngs is one of 16 survivors from four years ago, meaning 40 per cent of the 41-man squad named by Gatland know what such a tour entails.
