Chief Short named player of the month

EXETER Chiefs wing James Short has been named Premiership player of the month for February.

Short, below, was judged to be the man who made the biggest impact in the league drawing praise from England World Cup winner Will Greenwood.

“James is a player I have long admired,” said Greenwood. “He has great work rate, energy, desire. “He's a team player and has to wait for games sometimes.

But when opportunities are offered he gobbles them up as well as the tries!” Short beat off competition from Sale Sharks' Denny Solomona and Vereniki Goneva from Newcastle Falcons. Short wins a trophy and a £250 donation to the charity of his choice.
