Francois Louw will attend a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday after he was alleged to have made contact with the eye area of Treviso lock Marco Fuser in the weekend’s Champions Cup opener.
The incident occurred in the 77th minute of Bath’s 23-0 victory at The Rec and if found guilty will see the Springbok flanker banned for a minimum of four weeks.
Louw was introduced to the game from the replacement’s bench on 20th minutes after Sam Underhill was forced to leave the match early for a HIA, meaning Bath could be without their two star back rows for this weekend’s trip to face the Scarlets.
Treviso’s Fuser will also sit before a disciplinary panel to discuss an alleged bite on Louw which occurred in the same incident.
