Peter Betham has left Leicester Tigers in order to join Clermont next season.
Australia international Betham, 28, arrived at Welford Road for the start of the 2016 season and has made 55 appearances for the club, playing at centre and wing.
He scored 11 tries, including one in the Premiership semi-final against Wasps in his last game for the club earlier this month.
He will now join the Champions Cup and Top14 finalists on a two-year contract.
Tigers head coach Matt O’Connor said: “We thank Peter for his contribution over the last two seasons with the club and we all wish him well in his new challenge with Clermont.”
