Worcester have completed the signing of Scotland international David Denton ahead of next season.
Zimbabwean-born Denton will make the switch to Sixways in the summer from Bath where he made 22 appearances.
The giant back row, who can also play at lock, qualified for Scotland through his mother and has played 35 times for his adopted country, with his last appearance coming in June 2016.
He featured four times in Scotland’s 2015 World Cup run, starting the quarter-final clash against Australia.
Educated in South Africa, Denton played for Eastern Province before moving to Edinburgh University to study economics, and he soon rose to prominence after producing a string of impressive performances for Scotland during the 2010 Under 20s Six Nations.
During his time at Edinburgh, Denton made 79 appearances and was part of the side which reached the Challenge Cup final in 2015.
He said: “I can’t wait to get started at Warriors. Gary and the team are clearly pushing in the right direction and I want to play a part in driving the Club up the Premiership table.”
Warriors Director of Rugby Gary Gold commented: “David is a powerful athlete who will add more firepower to our back row.
“He is a strong ball-carrier with international experience and we look forward to his arrival in the summer.”
