Injured Tuilagi replaced in England squad

Manu Tuilagi has been replaced in ‘s 33 man training squad by ‘s Semesa Rokoduguni after suffering a knee injury playing for a day after being named in the England squad.
are still waiting for results to tell them the full extent of Tuilagi’s injury after the centre was replaced inside eight minutes of Sunday’s 16-12 home defeat to Saracens.
Bath winger Rokoduguni has replaced Tuilagi for the two day training camp in Brighton today and tomorrow as England begin their preparations for their opening fixture against on Saturday, February 4.
“It looks like a knock and a bit of swelling, but it is too early to say,” said Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill.
The 25-year-old only returned to action at the end of November against after spending two months out with a long-term groin problem.
England head coach Eddie Jones was in the crowd at Welford Road to see Tuilagi damage his knee while being tackled by three Saracens players.
The news comes as a blow after the centre was preparing to train in an England camp for the first time under Jones.
“He’s [Tuilagi] a bit cheesed off as you can imagine,” Cockerill added. “He has hurt the outside of his right knee.
“His groin is good, his knee is a bit sore. We will assess it over the next 48 hours and we will deal with whatever comes.”
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall delivered good news for Jones after revealing lock George Kruis will return in time for the Six Nations despite fracturing his cheekbone against on Christmas Eve.
