London Football Club Limited formally entered liquidation today.
A new company has been given a temporary licence by the in order for the club to fulfil its next two fixtures.
This will allow additional time to satisfy criteria for a permanent replacement company to compete in the remainder of the 2016/17 Greene King IPA season.
As a result of the company going into liquidation, are automatically deducted 20-league points, in accordance with RFU Regulation 5.3.7.
London Welsh now have until January 16th 2017 to supply all the necessary information for the RFU Board to decide on whether the new company can continue to operate in the Greene King IPA Championship.
Note that this does not affect London Welsh Amateurs RFC (playing in Herts-Middlesex 1) which is a separately constituted club.
