Joe Marler and Owen Farrell have received a two-week ban today following Harlequins and Saracens European semi-finals last weekend.
The pair will therefore miss the last two rounds of the Premiership regular season but they will free to play in time to take part in Quins’ Challenge Cup final against Montpellier and Sarries’ Champions Cup showdown against Racing 92 in Lyon on May 13-14.
England prop Marler, who was making his return from the suspension he received for his ‘gypsy boy’ comment to Samson Lee, was cited for kicking Grenoble hooker Arnaud Heguy in the head.
Farrell, meanwhile, was cited for his dangerous tackle on Dan Robson which knocked out the Wasps scrum-half.
Wasps loosehead Simon McIntyre was also at the disciplinary hearing in London today and he too was hit by a two-week ban for kicking Maro Itoje.
