Tommy O’Donnell will miss the World Cup after suffering a dislocated hip in Ireland‘s win over Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.
The Munster flanker, 28, had to be stretched off in the closing stages of Ireland’s convincing 35-21 win in their first World Cup warm-ups and further scans revealed the full nature of the injury.
He will be limited to non-weight bearing activity for at least six weeks which rules him out of the upcoming World Cup which starts on September 18.
