Mark Bright, Matthew Morgan and Alex Rieder have been nominated to win the player of the year.
The award will be given at the RPA Players’ awards on 13
No.8 and the league top try scorer Mark Bright said: “It’s a fantastic feeling to be nominated for this award, especially as it’s voted for by the Championship club Captains. While I’m indeed very humbled and thankful for their support and encouragement, remains a team sport and without my team-mates I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
fly-half Matthew Morgan said: “There’s no better feeling in rugby than knowing you have people around you who want to see you do well. That’s been the case for me, my teammates are brilliant, the coaches are superb and the Bristol supporter base have been outstanding. I owe them all so much and I feel very proud to be nominated for this award on their behalf.”
Titans flanker Alex Rieder, said: “It’s an incredible honour to be nominated amongst two fine players in Mark Bright and Matthew Morgan. The Championship has produced some amazing talent this year and competition throughout the league has increased, so to be nominated out of such a strong contingent of players, remains a massive privilege.”
