Ten Knights sign for the new season

 
Doncaster have today announced that ten players from the current squad have re-signed ahead of the 2015/16 Greene King IPA Championship.
Upfront Richard List has put pen to paper and will be hoping to lock down the No.1 jersey, though he will face stiff competition from Jack Bergmanas. The impressive 22-year-old front rower will be continuing his development at Castle Park after agreeing terms on a new contract. Will Griff John, also 22, has agreed to extend his stay at the club following his move from ITM Cup outfit Northlands in November.
Club captain Matt Challinor will enter his fifth year with the Knights after, yet another, stand out campaign. The 2013/14 Player’s Player of the Season will also be joined by Canadian duo Jon Phelan and Tyler Hotson.
In the back-row Alex Shaw has committed his future to the Club, the No.8 is currently on course to complete his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury in time for the pre-season fixtures.
Joining Shaw in the back-row is Latu Makaafi, the flanker touched down for nine tries in the league and Cup on his Castle Park return.
In the back division Andy Bulumakau will continue as a Knight next season having enjoyed a fine debut campaign since arriving from Gloucester last summer.
The final announcement of the day sees the Yorkshire outfit retain the services of the league’s top point scorer, Dougie Flockhart. The Knights winger has enjoyed a career year, accumulating 318 points in both League and Cup competition.
