Sean Maitland and Stuart McInally have been called up by Scotland ahead of Saturday’s Six Nations game against England.
British & Irish Lions back, who continues his recovery from a shoulder injury sustained in January, has taken the place of Glasgow club mate, Sean Lamont, who has been ruled out of the rest of the Championship with a knee injury suffered in the Warriors’ bonus-point win over Zebre on Friday night.
Edinburgh hooker McInally has also been drafted into the squad as precautionary cover for Ross Ford, who continues his recuperation from the back spasm suffered against Italy last week.
The Scotland medical team also confirmed that fly-half Peter Horne suffered a concussion playing for Glasgow against Zebre and is expected to begin his graduated return to play protocol this morning.
