Sam Warburton and Dan Biggar are expected to be fit to face Ireland on March 14 despite injury concerns after Wales‘ win in France on Saturday.
Captain Warburton walked off with a knee injury but a statement from the WRU yesterday said he will be returning to training later this week and so will Biggar who suffered a hip injury.
“Sam suffered a contusion to his knee,” said the statement on Monday evening. “He will continue to be monitored by the medical team and will return to training later this week.”
However, Bath loosehead Paul James has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament with a fractured thumb and will miss the next four to six weeks.
