Ben Morgan was today announced as ‘s ‘Man of the Series’ for the 2014 QBE Internationals.
In a week-long nationwide vote, the No.8 beat off stiff competition in captain and duo George Ford and Dave Attwood to scoop 46.6% of the votes.
The 25-year-old started the behind but strong displays off the bench against and saw him earn a starting shirts in the wins over Samoa and .
To top a fine four weeks, it was Morgan’s brace of tries which helped England beat the two weeks ago.
As the winner he received a £1,000 donation to his chosen charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind.
“It’s always great to be recognised for your contribution to the team and I am very grateful for the donation to a charity I have supported for a number of years,” he said.
“I think my game has got stronger across the QBE International Series and personally it was a target for me to get into the reckoning for a starting position and then go on to perform against the World’s best.
“I think I managed to achieve that across November and I am sure the best of me is still to come.”
