James Wilson scored two tries as Northampton Saints stunned Saracens with a 31-24 at Allianz Park to go top of the Premiership.
The champions scored three tries in total with Phil Dowson crossing along Wilson while Stephen Myler kicked 16 points from the tee.
Saracens’ Chris Wyles also scored a brace and Jackson Wray one to go with Charlie Hodgson’s nine points from the boot but it was not enough in the end.
In the last game of round 8, Leicester Tigers left Oxford with a 26-5 bonus-point win over London Welsh.
The Exiles started the game well with Nick Scott scoring the first try of the game but rising hooker Harry Thacker scored twice while Graham Kitchener and Roberto Barbieri secured the try bonus-point for Richard Cockerill’s side.
