Worcester respond to Wasps move

As revealed in The Rugby Paper on September 14, Worcester are set to ask for answers over Wasps‘ move to Coventry.
In a statement released by the club, the Warriors confirmed they will be asking Premiership Rugby for clarification on what it means for the community and academy programme they have already set-up in the Coventry region.
The statement read: “In response to the recent developments concerning Wasps investing in the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, Worcester Warriors can confirm that the club is seeking clarification on a number of fronts from PRL and the RFU.
“Most importantly, these concern how Wasps’ fan engagement and community programmes will sit alongside the significant investment we have made in our current academy programmes in the area without conflict.”
