Premiership’s all time leading try scorer Mark Cueto will have the chance to ramp up his 84-try tally for another season after signing a new one-year deal with Sale.
The former England winger has scored a staggering 84 league tries for the Sharks since making his debut in 2001.
Meanwhile, wing partner Tom Brady has signed a new two-year deal.
This week ends better than it started for the Sharks following the announcement that both Henry Thomas and James Gaskell were to leave the club at the end of the season.
Cueto said: “I am delighted to sign a new deal. I am really enjoying my rugby at the club and am looking forward to adding to my try tally. Dimes has assembled a great squad of players and I want to play my part to help the club do well.”
Brady said: “”I’m delighted to have signed the new deal. Sale are a club I have grown up supporting, they are my local team and it’s something I’ve always wanted to be a part of.
“It’s a great environment to be in so I’m delighted that I have been able to commit to the club for the next two years.”
Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: “I am delighted both Mark and Tom have agreed new deals. Mark can play centre, wing or full back and is enjoying a new lease of life with the club. He continues to score tries and is a player the younger lads look up to and go to for advice.
“Tom is a local lad and playing the best rugby of his career now and I am sure he will represent the club for many years to come.”
