Juan Martin Leguizamon will captain Argentina against England at Twickenham on Saturday.
The former London Irish back-row takes over from the injured Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe while mercurial full-back Juan Martin Hernandez is also sidelined.
Leguizamon is at No.8 with new Leicester signing and rising star Pablo Matera at openside and Julian Farias Cabello at blindside.
Veteran Leicester loose-head Marcos Ayerza will spearhead Argentina’s challenge at the scrum, while ex-London Irish back-row leads the team in the absence of Lobbe. Marcelo Bosch of Saracens has been selected at outside centre with Juan Imhoff and Bath’s Horacio Agulla on the wings.
New Pumas coach Daniel Hourcade said: “It’s important to have experience in many areas of the team. We’re building for the 2015 World Cup and the young players can learn from the more experienced ones.”
“We are going to be more offensive and attack England a little bit more that we usually do,” he said. “England played a tighter game against Australia, but they will be more open against us.”
