Two second-half tries put London in the driving seat to qualify for the Amlin quarter-finals after a 26-10 win over at Adams Park tonight.
The Men in Black now have nine points from the opening two games while Bayonne have five and so should have Grenoble tomorrow if they beat Viadana at home.
Wasps were trailing 10-6 at the break as the French went over through winger Sam Gerber even though the last pass seemed forward.
But the English side regathered from the start of the second half playing a more direct game using their pack and it paid off.
First flanker Ed Jackson dived over the line following a well-worked catch and drive before produced a moment of magic to put his wing partner Josh Bassett in the corner to seal the win with 20 minutes left on the clock.
