Leicester Tigers have began the defence of their Premiership title with a 32-15 bonus-point win over Worcester Warriors at Welford Road.
Wing Adam Thompstone and French recruit David Mele went over in the first half to lead 18-3 at the break.
Dean Ryan’s men were reduced to 14 men just after the break and they were made to pay for it soon after as Jordan Crane opened a 22-point gap.
Chris Jones and Josh Matavesi reduced it to 10 points with 15 minutes to go but Niki Goneva’s try sealed the deal and secured the bonus point win for the reigning Champions.
