Very active on the transfer market in recent weeks, London Wasps have signed Jack Moates who will join the Club at the end of the season.
The London Irish scrum-half Moates has made 17 appearances this season for the Exiles and joins with a growing reputation in the pivotal No.9 shirt.
Recent recruits include Worcester duo Matt Mullan and Joe Carlisle and Kearnan Myall while Andy Goode and is also rumoured to be on their way to Adams Park.
London Wasps Director of Rugby Dai Young said: “I have been impressed with Jack as a young scrum-half both for the London Irish A side and their senior side over the past year or so and I know he is a very ambitious player.
“I believe a squad needs a strong mix of scrum halves over the course of the season and he will add to the mix alongside the likes of Joe Simpson and Charlie Davies.”
Moates said: It’s a really exciting time to be joining London Wasps as they are flying high in the league and pushing for Heineken Cup qualification. There are already some high quality scrum-halves at Wasps but I am looking forward to developing further under the likes of Dai Young and Shane Howarth so that I can challenge for a place in the first team.”
