EVEN though I recently predicted in The Rugby Paper podcast that Louis Lynagh would be a starting wing for England at the next World Cup, I was delighted he eventually opted for Italy. He is perfectly qualified for England and indeed Australia, but Italy feels right.
It’s not just that he was born in Treviso and that his mother Isabella is a born and bred Italian business woman, it’s also that for many years her father Giuliano was the president of the Confindustria of Treviso and a big influence behind the scenes with the Treviso club when they finally became the major force...
