IT was after round two from memory that I mentioned it might be worth tuning into the Rugby Championship this season and so it proved. I’m not totally convinced yet about the absolute quality of the fare on offer – we will find out more in the autumn – but it was a thrilling championship, the crowds were decent and animated and the organisers sensibly held the undercard fixtures in a smaller ground which filled up nicely.
